Super Easy's half brother strikes again
24 Nov 2013Confidence continues to grow in Terravista’s ability to make his presence felt at next year’s rich Sydney autumn carnival.
The half-brother to Hallmark Stud’s Super Easy has made a fine impact already with four wins in five starts for trainer Joe Pride.
The latest of them at Randwick’s Kensington track on Saturday came after he had drawn a wide gate.
Terravista raced outside the leader and then drew clear in the straight to score by three-quarters of a length.
“Not sure that’s the way to ride him but that’s what we had to do today,” Pride said.
"I think probably the faster-paced races will suit this horse, he’s got a really good acceleration and you might see that at the end of a fast run race.”
Pride believes the best is all yet to come from the chestnut.
“It’s all new to him, it’s only his second racing preparation and he’s going to hit some lofty heights in the autumn this horse,” he said.
"He’s got the makings of a really nice horse, he’s got the size and the scope. Plenty to like about him.”
