Shocking colt Festival front-runner
02 Feb 2014A son of the popular Shocking, led the way for Hallmark Stud during the Festival Sale action on the closing day at Karaka on Sunday afternoon.
The Auckland-based BW Bloodstock went to $41,000 to secure the colt out of the stakes-winning Pompeii Court mare Etna Court.
A son of Zed was also popular and he was purchased by Waikato Bloodstock for $30,000 on behalf of Hong Kong clients.
The colt is a half-brother to four winners, including the stakes performer Vital Satin.
The dam Pure Satin is a half-sister to the Gr 2 Eight Carat Classic winner Alagant Satin.
Meanwhile, the Showcasing colt from Might And Power’s esteemed family made $16,000 to the bid of the Rogers family.
