Their dam Miss Katella is a half-sister to Gr 1 Telegraph Handicap and BTC Cup winner Gee I Jane and the champion broodmare Miss Jessie Jay.
She is the famed mother of the Gr 1 NZ 1000-2000 Guineas heroine Katie Lee and the Gr 1 Diamond Stakes winner Banchee.
Kiwi Kate was bought out of Hallmark’s 2012 Premier Sale draft for $360,000 for the Chris Waller stable.
The filly finished fifth on debut in the spring before a break and successfully resumed on Wednesday over 1200 metres in Jim Cassidy’s hands.
