Super Easy’s millionaire half-brother Tiger Tees brought further glory to the family at Flemington on Saturday.
The G1 Galaxy winner returned to racing in fine style with victory in the Gr 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap.
Rider Damien Oliver was content to let Tiger Tees race in his normal prominent position before sending him to the lead inside the 300 metre mark.
The Joseph Pride-trained Dubawi gelding, who hadn’t raced for three months, felt the pinch in the closing stages but class got him home.
“He’s a quirky kind of horse,” Oliver said. “He goes and waits a bit but he fought them off when he needed to".
“There’s a bit of improvement to come but he was pretty good for today.”
Owner Neil Cooper was effusive in his praise for his million-dollar earner.
“He’s run well in his last two attempts down the straight six so we elected to bring him down for this race rather than tackle the missile in Sydney,” he said.
