Super day for stallion @ Karaka
14 May 2015Resident stallion Super Easy flexed his muscles for Hallmark Stud at Karaka this week. The multiple Group One winner’s first representatives enjoyed a royal welcome.
Topping the list was Hallmark’s colt out of Joan’s Chance, who was secured by Ascot Farm for $65,000. The mare, by Volksraad, is a three-quarter sister to the Group performer, The Tidy Express. A star performer within the family has been the Gr 1 Hong Kong Cup winner Eagle Mountain.
Earlier in the session, the stud sold Super Easy’s son of Charming Elle to NZB, as agent, for $47,500. The youngster’s dam is a half-sister to the Australian stakes winner Battlefield. It is also the family of Gr 1 Oakleigh Plate and Gr 3 Standish Handicap winner Khaptingly.
Later in the session a Tartan Bearer filly was knocked down to Kaipira Lodge $15,000. The smart chestnut is from the family of the Gr 1 Caulfield Stakes winner Drought.
Hallmark was again an active buyer and secured a smart Reliable Man colt for $30,000. Out of a winning Keeper mare, his pedigree page features the Group One performer Gorgeous George.
